BASIC WOODLAND FUNERAL

WHAT IS A 'BASIC WOODLAND FUNERAL ’?

A Basic Woodland Funeral is a low cost funeral package where we take responsibility for organising some aspects of the funeral arrangements and you take responsibility for some others.

All Basic Woodland Funerals involve burial at either the South Yorkshire Woodland Burial Ground at Ulley (near to Sheffield and Rotherham) or the Golden Valley Woodland Burial Ground, near Ripley (Derbyshire). Any ceremony must be held at the graveside.

BASIC WOODLAND FUNERAL –  

                                               Area 1 - £945 + Disbursement Costs

                                               Area 2 - £1025 + Disbursement Costs

These funerals all take place at either South Yorkshire Woodland Burial Ground or Golden Valley Woodland Burial Ground.

Basic Woodland Funeral Package includes:

• Collection from place of decease within normal working hours
• Storage at our own premises
• Environmentally-friendly (cardboard) coffin with basic lining
• Transport of coffin on day of funeral direct to the burial ground by hearse or people carrier
• Four bearers
• Our professional fee
• Grave digging cost

The disbursement costs are:

• Burial Rights for the grave (purchase of grave) £450 - £1000 (depending upon the type of plot chosen)
• The Minister’s or Celebrant’s fee (usually £120 - £160)

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS AVAILABLE WITH THE 'BASIC WOODLAND FUNERAL' - SUPPLEMENTARY CHARGES

Any additional services will be charged at a cost based upon amount of staff time used

WHAT PARTS OF THE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS WOULD THE FAMILY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

If you choose the ‘Basic Woodland Funeral’ package, you take responsibility for carrying out certain tasks.  They are:

• Ensuring that we receive safely, at our Sheffield premises, the green form that you will be given by the registrar

• Organising any funeral ceremony that is taking place with the minister or celebrant

• And, if you have selected the ‘washing and dressing’ option, arranging for any clothes to be worn to be delivered to our Sheffield premises
