ARRANGING A FUNERAL

Arranging a funeral can be difficult and emotionally-demanding. But it can also be a great comfort to know that you have been involved in organising a personal and special funeral for someone you love.

Since 1996 we have been helping families through the process of creating funerals for their loved ones that they feel are personal and appropriate, whatever that might involve. It has led to our being awarded the ‘Best Funeral Directors in the UK’ award, a title that we have held continuously since 2004.

As well as providing all the traditional services that you would expect from a funeral director, we ensure that you have the time and information available to make quality decisions about the funeral arrangements, at your own pace. We usually meet with families in their own homes - a service for which there is no extra charge.

There are many ways in which you can make a funeral personal.

For instance, not everyone feels that a traditional religious service is appropriate and, if you wish, we can help you with the design, and implementation, of a non- or semi-religious farewell ceremony.

And then there is the transport that is used for the funeral. Although we can supply the traditional black hearse and limousines, there are also other alternative forms of transport that you might wish to consider. 

If you feel that it is important that environmental concerns are reflected in the funeral arrangements, we can help you to arrange a woodland burial or provide you with a choice of environmentally-friendly coffins.

And if you feel that you may want to be involved in the dressing of your loved one, we can provide you with any level of assistance that you require.

We are based in Sheffield, but regularly work throughout South and West Yorkshire, and the northern parts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We can also help with the arrangement of funerals further afield and have arranged funerals as far apart as Cornwall, Caernarfon and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
